Peanut butter loves chocolate and chocolate loves...
Peanut Butter Hershey Kiss, Dolly Partons, or whatever you may call them, these cookies are definitely in my top 3 favorite cookies.  When I’m walking around CVS or a grocery store and Kisses are on sale, I like to buy them so I’ve got some in the cupboard to make these cookies (and also for snacking or a quick chocolate fix). I’ve made them quite a few times, and even posted...

A tip from my mother #1: what to do with leftover...
You didn’t eat all your cookies? Don’t throw them out, make cookie crumbs out of them and save for a later time. A little while back I was making Black and White Cookies, or trying to, and it didn’t really work out. The cookies were fine though so I thought to myself (and of my mother), these will come in handy at a later date and I put them in a bag in the freezer. I recently...

Just ate some puppy treats
They’re actually okay. They taste like weird crackers and would probably be good with cheese on them. I’m not going to make it a habit of eating them, but just to let you know.  Recipe here!

Everything smelled like banana and peanut butter...
And it was wonderful. In case you hadn’t noticed, I’ve been on a peanut butter and banana and chocolate and peanut butter kick (it makes sense, I swear). I made cupcakes for a co-workers birthday and when I asked what he wanted he said that he’s enjoyed everything I’ve made this year, nothing too sweet and to try something new. So I did. And I bring you… Banana...

Peanut Butter Animal Cookies for Dogs (a recipe)
I made dog treats once before, but this time I decided to make my own recipe after looking at a bunch of different ones on the internet.  Ingredients 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour + more for rolling 1 cup AP white flour 1/2 cup cornmeal 1 cup vegetable broth 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1/2 cup natural/organic peanut butter Directions (at least this worked for me) In a small bowl...

Something's in the oven, but I'm not going to eat...
For those of you reading this, who don’t see me in real life, I have a new little man in my life… My roommates’ puppy, Malkmus, and I just adore him. This morning Dave and Brittany went to visit NYC and left me in charge of the little guy. He enjoys humping a stuffed animal dog, playing the first half of fetch (getting the ball, but not bringing it back) giving puppy kisses, and...

Everything I could ever want, at this exact*...
I was going to make banana cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, something I’ve wanted to try for a while, but didn’t have everything I needed, so I made cookies instead. This is an adaptation of a recipe by Matt Moore, so he really gets most of the credit. I’ve used it before and I love it. His recipe is actually vegan, so you should check it out… if you’re into...

Makin' Muffins
I made muffins this morning, remember? In my new apron. I think it was the first time I have ever made muffins from scratch. It’s just never really come up before. I followed this recipe for applesauce muffins from Cat Can Cook, and it was super easy and super quick. I was going to a friend’s house for a Mimosas and Mending (as in stitchin’) get together this afternoon and I...
