that's what she baked.

Adventures (and misadventures) in the kitchen from a novice baker.

5 notes

My first time baking in my new apartment.
Lots of things are different. But as a whole, good different, and it’s all totally okay and I love the kitchen because there are these great portable counter shelving units, and I actually don’t mind doing dishes that much, (I hand-washed a lot of my baking stuff anyway) and there are, of course, the glorious, glorious pantries. I have a baking area, which is wonderful, and I’ll get used to the oven, in no-time (it’s not as nice as the one in the other apartment, or new or familiar). I just need to figure out the hot spots, how long it takes to pre-heat, what the real temperature is, etc.
What’s really great, is that everything is starting to have a place. And that feels good.
