My new favorite thing, Bootstrap Compost.
Okay, so it’s not that new. If you’ve been over my place in the last month or so, I’ve probably dragged you out to the back door to show you a closed bucket sitting on the porch, because I’m just so excited about it. I’ve really been wanting to compost for a while, and now that I have my own place, and live with someone who cooks a lot, I felt like all that food waste should be going somewhere. I looked into Bootstrap forever ago and decided it was finally time to join. They’re a compost pickup service and Tyler and I chose to have them come bi-weekly. It’s not that much dough to subscribe, they’re never a bother and I get to feel really good about it. It especially came in handy with all my apple scraps from my homemade applesauce last week.
If you don’t have an awesome service like Bootstrap near you, my wonderful friend Lindsay recently shared with me this really great article on how to compost in your apartment.
