An Update via Instagram
Life is back and busy in full swing. I sadly haven’t been keeping up with making a weekly bread, or fitting in baking as much as I was about a month ago. I’m working 2 jobs and I’m in a Halloween themed show every weekend; so while nothing is a full time gig, I don’t have as much free blocks of time as I did when I was “funemployed.” Regardless, I figured I’d take some time to share what’s been going on in the life of Cora…
Job #1: Teaching. Yes, I left my old teaching job with the intentions of not going to another one. But this one is different. I am currently working through a grant-funded program that brings the arts to people with special needs. I work one day a week in a Boston Public School integrating arts into the curriculum. At least that’s what I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve only worked 2 days and I’m mildly overwhelmed. I teach 5 classes from 5 year olds to 12 year olds bringing whatever I can carry into their classroom and it’s all new and scary and I am forgetting what it felt like to be a confident teacher. But it’s only been 2 days and I am trying to cut myself some slack.

The first week I had all my students make a Coat Of Arms as name tags.
Job #2: Food Truck. Don’t let the picture of the cupcake deceive you, I don’t work on a cupcake truck. I do, however, work on a really awesome food truck with lots of cool people and I’m learning a ton! and I stand behind the product and it’s a great company. Whenever we have a catering or some sort of food truck event, and there are other trucks there, we often share our goods/trade. Below is a cupcake from The Cupcakery, only the cutest little truck, and it was fantastic.

Other things going on… My Mushroom Man is making it big! Well, on a small scale. He’s been venturing out a little farther and coming back with a lot of rewards. He’s even got business cards now. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I’ll explain some other time.

Also, I ran a half marathon last weekend and got a PR. I don’t run fast, but it felt good to know I’ve gotten better since my last race. Yes, I ran in a gold tutu. I highly recommend it.

I think that’s about it. Happy Wednesday, all!
