Messy apron. I snapped this after my baking class last Saturday.
It’s not as easy, and I’m okay with it. I’m asking a lot of questions, and I don’t feel bad about it. I’m learning a lot. I am happy there.

In case you were wondering, this is what I look like at work. (What I was talking about in a recent post). The good pictures of pretending it was a cooking show all have students in them, so I can’t share them, but in back of me is the chalkboard and I’m facing the students and I’m holding up one of their prints.

I got a new apron for Christmas. Yes, another one. Did I need another apron? No, not really, but this one may be my favorite. It’s really simple, the colors are perfect, it has a flower pin (which I could add to another outfit) and it’s from this company called Proxy Apparel, which does great things.

From the tag: “Proxy Apparel is an ethical fashion company dedicated to empowering women through fashion. We support emerging designers and our products are made by women and worker-owned cooperatives around the world. Proxy empowers consumers by offering socially responsible fashion with purpose.” They have a Tumblr, too!

Just so you know, I answered the door dressed as I look in the pictures and my friend’s response was something along the lines of “I can’t believe you’re a real person.”

I know I look like such a fool in the picture on the right, I asked my roommate to take a picture of me and I was being silly and “acting” as if I was some hot shot on a photo shoot.

Christmas apron!
Occasionally when I visit my parents house (the house I grew up in) there are silly gifts waiting for me at the foot of my bed. Sometimes they’re things I left behind the last time I was there, and sometimes they’re lovely presents from my mamma. When I was home a couple of weeks ago I received this festive apron and am so happy to be doing my holiday baking wearing it!
My apron count is getting close to double digits…

I’m making applesauce muffins and they smell SO good!
Also, peep my new apron. Yes, I have received another apron to add to my unintentional collection.

Green apron, green bowl.
I will update more on my Black and White baking mess soon. Right now I’m making cookies to share at my improv show tonight.

My apron collection is becoming a collection.

Unintentionally. I mean, how many aprons does a girl really need? It is kind of fun though.

I used to wear this yellow apron I got in Texas all the time while baking. For Christmas I got this green apron and also this red and brown one. (I LOVE the patterns. Actually, I love patterns, period.) And then my Mamma gave me an early Valentine’s present with this ridiculously cheesy/adorable cupcake apron

This past week my dear friend Josh visited me on his way home to Florida from London, and as a thank you for crashing at my place he gave me a London Underground map apron! It looks like this…

It’s plastic, which is kinda weird, but I bet it’ll be super easy to clean off when cupcake batter splashes on me from mixing. And I think it’s pretty darn cool.

HAPPY FEBRUARY!
In a recent visit to my mother on the South Shore, she had this cupcake apron waiting for me. It’s awkwardly shaped and essentially corny but I do enjoy it. I am going to wear it ALL MONTH when I bake (and probably after that, as well).
…and now to make some cupcakes.
