My pal Casey’s birthday was on Saturday. I sent a bunch of these cookies to him. Casey loves cookies. I wanted to wait until he got them, before I posted this, so I wouldn’t ruin the surprise (which I probably already did when I asked him about his address earlier in the week).

I’ve made those cupcakes 3 times now and they’re killer. It all went very well and I am very proud and I got paid. Pictures from the party to come.
The other package was received by James. James is engaged to Taylor, one of my bestest gals since I was 10. It was his birthday on Monday and I actually made the cookies thinking about what she told me he likes. I’m so glad they got to him right on time. Taylor sent me these pictures.

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!
Yesterday was my birthday and it was filled with yummy foods, a little shopping, enjoying the beautiful weather in Boston and good good company. I will have many new things for my kitchen to share with you but I just couldn’t wait to show my new favorite!
My #1 guy gave me this cupcake stand, which he custom painted yellow, just for me! He also made the best birthday card in the entire world (you can check out more of his stuff here).
Even though I was born on July 1st, I like to think my birthday lasts for days because of all of the 4th of July celebratory things. Today I am going to have a birthday picnic in the park with some pals and then party some more. I’m surprisingly not baking, but you’ll see…
My birthday was this past week and I threw a little party… and what better excuse to make cupcakes?! I often like to bake things for other peoples’ birthdays but why not bake for my own! I really like vanilla cupcakes but I didn’t want to make them so plane, and I’m still not into fancy frosting decorating yet. (Mostly because I don’t really know how to.)
It’s a simple vanilla cupcake recipe but there is raspberry jam baked on the inside and topped off with cream cheese frosting and fresh berries.
