Paulette Macarons in Beverley Hills

Over my vacation I was in LA for just barely 4 days trying to do as much as possible and visit with as many people that I could in the short time I was there. I’d say I had a very successful, and very wonderful trip.

While there, Ellen, an old friend from my hometown (and a fellow dancer, back when we were dancers) contacted me and we met up for cupcakes and then she took me to the macaron store, Paulette’s that she works at in Beverly Hills. I posted a picture of the counter here

But here’s another one

The store was very simple and pretty. All white except for the beautiful rainbow of macaroons. Ellen treated me to a dozen macarons which I was overjoyed to accept and very appreciative of (as were the friends I visited later in the week). I’ve only had french macaroons a very limited number of times and I think they were blown away by these cookies! The size of a macaron (in general) with it’s sweetness and subtle tastes is so elegant; you don’t want to eat them all at once, but you could.

Such a classy cookie… er.. cookie sandwich…? Macaron.

Here’s Ellen and I in front front of the store

I was so happy to see her face and share baking talk.

Ooopsie! GIANT COOKIE.
Oatmeal white chocolate cranberry. I bought steel cut oats on accident. They do different things. I think it tastes good, but it’s a very different texture.
