In case you were wondering, this is what I look like at work. (What I was talking about in a recent post). The good pictures of pretending it was a cooking show all have students in them, so I can’t share them, but in back of me is the chalkboard and I’m facing the students and I’m holding up one of their prints.

And now for a little peeksie into the rest of my life

On Saturday, the art department at my school had an opening reception for our first gallery show of just our students work. It was kind of a big deal (especially since I initiated it… like, it was kind of my baby) and I was super excited. I made the Strawberry Jam Babycakes with Strawberry Cream Cheese frosting for the reception and was so happy to have the opportunity to share my passion of baking supporting my school (I get to share baked goods a lot there, but only in the teachers room because of so many student allergies). There was a great turnout and even though my cupycakes had a bit of a spill when a light went from yellow to red real quickly and I had to slam on the brakes, they were still enjoyed very much.

Many thanks to my pals Pat Falco and Elliot Anderson of The Lincoln Arts Project for letting us have our show there and being such a great help.
